Fritz Eichenberg's papers focus on his work as an illustrator of children's books. The collection contains production material, consisting of illustrative materials only, for 17 titles, including some adult works, published between 1940 and 1982. Illustrative materials include illustrations, studies and sketches done in a variety of media, separations, dummies, prints, and proofs. The collection also contains some miscellaneous artwork consisting of prints including some from drawings that appeared in [date unknown], and one print for Christmas 1960 signed "The Peaceable Kingdom."
